About ACTILHA

The ACT Inline Hockey Association (ACTILHA) Inc was formed in late 1994, to organise and operate inline hockey in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Australia.
The objectives of ACTILHA are to:

  • promote and develop inline hockey for juniors and seniors, at both competition and social levels; and
  • promote and develop inline skating for both sport and recreation.

The Association provides Inline Hockey opportunities for all ages and levels of ability for boys and girls, men and women of all ages.

The ACTILHA Committee is responsible for the running of the organisation. The committee is made up of elected members and appoints a Coaching Director, Referee Co-ordinator, Player’s Representatives and a Judiciary.

The Annual General Meeting is held in March each year. The Association is incorporated and operates under the Model Rules for such associations.

In recent years, ACTILHA has had a number of players representing Australia and our Coaching Director was selected as coach of the Australian Women's Team 2000.

ACTILHA players also have the opportunity to represent the ACT in several interstate competitions throughout the year.

Each year ACTILHA sends teams to the ILHA (In-Line Hockey Australia) National Championships from which players are chosen to represent Australia overseas. ILHA is part of Skate Australia. Also, some local Canberra Teams also travel to interstate competitions in Sydney and Melbourne to compete.
